October 2009 - Barton v. Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc., - Attorneys Littlepage and Booth won a Philadelphia jury award of $78.75 million in damages to an Illinois woman (Connie Barton) who claimed the hormone therapy replacement drug Prempro caused her breast cancer. A Pennsylvania state court judge slashed the $75 million punitive-damages award by 93 percent to $5.6 million and left the $3.7 million in compensatory damages undisturbed in his post-trial ruling. |
